 2016/17 Risk Control Plan

The 2016/17 risk control plan includes wellness program tools research to help members initiate wellness programs for their police departments, member benefit presentations, return to work program enhancement research, and assess to the Bickmore risk control website resources. The member benefits presentations are designed to support LAWCX members making use of the currently available risk control tools such as the Return to Work program template, the Job Analysis Library, and the online risk control resources. Online resources include recorded webinar library, streaming videos library, publications, as well as, sample programs and forms.

Members may request on-site services for training, consultation, program development, and customized webinar development. On-site services provided by Bickmore may be eligible for direct fund transfer through the Risk Control Reimbursement Program. To access online risk control services, log on to the LAWCX website and go to the “Members Only – Safety and Risk Control” page.

A total of $40,000 has been allocated for member risk control reimbursements. The reimbursements are limited to $2,000 per direct member and are available on a first come, first serve basis. The expense must be directly related to workers' compensation or workplace safety. Funds must have already been expended, or Bickmore services quoted and use of the risk control reimbursement plan pre-approved, prior to reimbursement. To request reimbursement, please complete a Risk_Control_Reimbursement_Form_1617.pdf.
